Gynecomastia surgery involve removal of the extra fat, skin and glandular tissue from normally fully developed male breast..In more severe cases of gynecomastia it may cause breast to sagg and stretch. In some cases of widened areola having dark skin and wide nipple it is also able to remove extra skin through the procedure.
Gynecomastia id normally familial and result from hormonal imbalance and very rarely because of the use of certain drugs. In some liver and endocrine disorders the male breast get enlarged but normally you will get clue about it.

CORRECTION OF GYNECOMASTIA PROCEDURE:
According to Simon Classification gynecomastia is divided into four grades. This division is done on the basis of amount of the breast tissue and skin along with size and degree of sagginess. (Simon Classification).
Grade -I Minor Breast enlargement without skin redundancy.
Grade -II(A) Major Breast enlargement without skin redundancy.
Grade-II(B) Major Breast enlargement with skin redundancy.
Grade -III Gross Breast enlargement with skin redundancy mimicking female breast.
The preoperative work up include endocrine screen along with in suspected cases breast ultrasounds scan to rule out any growth.
Surgery in true gynecomastia involve liposuction and then removal of the glandular tissue immediately after the liposuction by making semicicumferential incision at the nipple areolar -skin interface.
In some circumstances, it may be necessary for skin to be removed. It is necessary to wear a pressure garment for a period of six weeks post-operatively.
LIPOSUCTION AND OPEN EXCISION
If glandular tissue is present then this will require an open excision to ensure it’s complete removal.
LIPOSUCTION ALONE (PSEUDO-GYNECOMASTIA)
In cases where there is pseudo gynecomastia, then liposuction alone may be adequate to remove the excess adipose tissue.

WILL THIS PROCEDURE LEAVES SCARS?
Dr. Asif Bhatti makes incision very close to the interface area between nipple and areola thus it is hardly noticeable .For liposuction only cases there will be two dot like scar at the side of the breast along line of armpit so no one can see it.
RECOVERY:
The recovery period for this gynecomastia is normally only three days in most cases but exercise should be started after 2 weeks and gym like activities should be not resumed before 4 weeks until allowed by Dr.Asif Bhatti at his Cosmagic clinic.
