What Is Fat Transfer?

Fat transfer is also known as fat transplantation, fat injections, nano fat grafting and microlipoinjection. Removing of fat from one area of the body, and transferring it to another is known as fat transfer. This act as substitute for some breast procedures like fat transfer to breast in space of traditional breast augmentation surgery.

Fat Transfer Procedure

If you are looking for a fat transfer to small areas of the body, you will receive local anesthesia in two spots, first the “donor” site from which fat will be removed, and the second “recipient” site where the fat will be injected back into your body. Next, a small needle  attached to a syringe will be used to extract fat from your donor area. The extracted fat is than kept in static position for at least 20 minutes or so in order to separate the fat from that extra fluid. The fat is carefully extracted and   Excess fluid is removed, and the fat is injected into the recipient area. The process is repeated until the desired results are achieved.

Where Fat Can Be Transferred?

You can receive a fat transfer to nearly any spot on your body where you want more volume. The most popular areas where you can transfer fat include the breasts, buttocks, cheeks, lips, hips, and hands.
